What we know and what we don’t? Week 4 Edition

What we know and what we don’t? Week 4 Edition

This league is something in a fashion of chaotic chic. You have the best unranked team in College Football. You have the ZOMG WHY WAS TEBOW IN THE GAME hand wringing. You have most every team with a real injury issue. So we’ll do it like this. Buy, Sell, or Hold.

Vanderbilt: They did take down Rice in an impressive fashion. Problem is, like Vanderbilt, Rice was a lot more impressive last season. You may not see them get an in-conference win this season. Sell this penny stock.
Mississippi State: Dan Mullen probably won’t win coach of the year, and that is a shame. Being a yard away from 3-1 and 2 conference wins would have been something that most fans of the Cowbell would have taken for the entire season. If the AD is patient, this team will be successful later. This team is an intriguing speculation play for 2010.
Kentucky: I made mention of how they were in the middle of the bloody portion of the schedule. You should have sold this team last week. Let me say it again. This team needs to be sold. The stock will collapse.
Arkansas: I admit it. I was wrong about their sleeperness. The big receivers are hurt. The defense is the troubled defense. Mallett is good with time, but dude, you’ve got to sell on this team.
Tennessee: Same story. Jonathan Crompton is like the king who sits on a throne who watches the kingdom collapse around him. Thus and therefore? Sell until the injury reports tell you different.
Auburn: Are the fundamentals strong? I mean, they are 4-0, they have two winnable road games and a home game versus Kentucky. I mean, Chris Todd is averaging 9 yards per pass attempt, but the defense is shoddy. I’d buy them until they play LSU or fail in the next two weeks.
Georgia: It’s a thin line between 10-2 and mediocre. I mean Joe Cox is a ginger James Bond and A.J. Green is a force of nature. I see A.J. Green as Murtaugh and Joe Cox as a wild eyed Riggs. Buy it for entertainment purposes only.
South Carolina: Buy them. Because even after they got to 3-1 and shocked the #4 team in the country they remain unranked. You have to like their defense. Garcia is showing something. And there’s a certain power to the us against the world didatic.
Ole Miss: I don’t know how to feel. Sure, the pressure is off on the SUPERSIZED expectations. But that being said? Hardy is still limited and Jevan Snead has been disappointing. I don’t know what to tell you about this team. I see no reason to sell or buy low. So I guess hold?
LSU: They’ve always had a strange amount of a high wire act. In 2007? There was a lot of close games and highwire acts and a 2 loss based national championship. In 2008? Every other interception was a pick six. This year? A whole lot of 2007. Buy this team.
Alabama: They’re not a google stock, with Dont’a Hightower being out for the year and a young linebacker corps. But they are quite strong. They shut down Arkansas. Ole Miss may be able to take them. But that may be the only way they lose before the SEC Championship. Buy.
Florida: Hold. Tebow will likely be back next week, and if not? John Brantley would be good. They’ve got a week before the George Michael hype machine rolls out.
