Entry 'Team Canada Roster Picks' (ID:151364) edited by user 'PenguinsExperience' Posted: 26 Aug 2009 12:00 PM PDT Published Blog: Penguins Experience Title: Team Canada Roster Picks Author: PenguinsExperience These are our picks for Team Canada: Goaltenders Martin Brodeur Roberto Luongo Marc-André Fleury Defence Jay Bouwmeester - Scott Niedermayer Mike Green - Chris Pronger Robyn Regehr - Marc Staal Dion Phaneuf Forwards Rick Nash - Sidney Crosby - Jarome Iginla Dany Heatley - Ryan Getzlaf - Eric Staal Simon Gagné - Mike Richards - Jeff Carter Vincent Lecavalier - Jonathan Toews - Shane Doan Patrick Sharp The defense is a little inexperienced, but Pronger and Niedermayer will even that out.  Staal, Green and Phaneuf will need to show how hungry they are if they want to make the team though. There are a lot of centers on the forward lines, but they can adapt.  The third line is all Philadelphia Flyers, which will likely mean all chemistry.  Joe Thornton is the biggest name that doesn't make the cut.  With Nash, Ignila, Staal, Richard and Carter in the line-up, Thornton isn't needed.
