| Injuries Strike Kentucky, Vanderbilt Posted: 19 Aug 2009 10:50 AM PDT Injuries Strike Kentucky, Vanderbilt Two players integral to the bowl runs of Kentucky and Vanderbilt in 2008 are both down with injuries that have a chance to doom their 2009 seasons before they start. For Kentucky, it’s the receiver whose general athletic whimsy at quarterback helped guide the Wildcats through Mark Hartline’s struggles and into a Liberty Bowl berth. Randall Cobb is going to see a back specialist in Columbus, Georgia. There seems to be no structural damage from the MRI’s, but it’s exactly like Team Speed Kills says. If you’re traveling six hours to find out what’s wrong with you? It’s probably not something small. For Vanderbilt? It’s starting defensive end Steven Stone. He broke his foot in practice yesterday. He’s looking like he’s going nto miss the first month of the regular season with the injury, and it is a big loss for the Commodores. He started every game for the last two seasons as well as tied for the team lead in sacks. Credit: Team Speed Kills |
| Houston Nutt Admits He Is Afraid Of The Hogs Posted: 19 Aug 2009 09:35 AM PDT
“After consultation with our team physicians and Coach Houston Nutt, we felt it was in the best interest of our football team to cancel this year’s ‘Meet the Rebels Day’,” said Ole Miss Athletics Director Pete Boone. “While we may be over cautious regarding the flu, our season opener is less than three weeks away and we can’t take any chances,” Nutt said. “We certainly regret not being able to interact with our fans at this time.” |
| NCAA Investigates, Tennessee Vols Bryce Brown Recruiting Posted: 19 Aug 2009 09:10 AM PDT NCAA Investigates, Tennessee Vols Bryce Brown Recruiting. The NCAA is investigating how Bryce Brown got the funds to attend football camps. Welcome to the SEC Lane Kiffin! You have been bragging about Bryce Brown since you landed him, and how much it means to the Vols. Now, even though you may have had absolutely nothing to do with the alleged wrong doings, you will most likely feel the pain. Some yahoo, with no affiliation to the University, except maybe watching players running through the “T” every once in a while, might have caused all of this, but the whole team will most likely feel it. Lane Kiffin has already admitted that this is a huge distraction.

| Bear Bryant “Call Your Momma Today”, Commercial Posted: 19 Aug 2009 08:34 AM PDT Bear Bryant ” Call Your Momma Today”, Commercial. This video courtesy of EDSBS. Paul Bear Bryant is known for many things. This may sound silly, but I think he is most known for being a legend. If you have ever been in the South you know what I am talking about. Everything he has ever done lives in infamy, especially if you are an Alabama fan. Even this little phone commercial is remembered by die hard Bama fans, and non Bama fans that find the surreal humor in it. “Have you called your Momma today?” |
