Lou Holtz Picks Notre Dame To Be In Nat Title Game? Video. He really did it. Lou Holtz wears Notre Dame colored glasses, and drinks Notre Dame flavored Koolaid, but so do a lot of people. None of those people go on National TV and say this kind of retarded stuff. Lou is giving the term “Homer” an even worse name.

I will give Lou Holtz credit for pointing out that Notre Dame plays absolutely no one except USC. I give Lou credit for understanding that even if Notre Dame is a terrible team that has some wins, they will most likely get the votes due to the idiotic nostalgic media.

The fact is that they will lose to USC and will most likely struggle to become bowl eligible even against their crappy schedule, because Notre Dame is a bad football team. Can someone please start a petition to get Lou Holtz off the air. He is more annoying than Stephen A. Smith.

2009 NCAA Football Rankings - AP Poll Preseason. Here is my SEC take on the new rankings. Florida is Ranked #1, and should be. Alabama is ranked too high to have lost as much as they did, and the way they ended their season, with said talent that has left. I pick LSU and Georgia to surprise, and Ole Miss to fall back. I don’t know how Auburn got 7 votes with all of their bad press. I pick them to be around the top 20 at seasons end, so maybe someone is listening to me.

I have no idea how Notre Dame is on this list. Oh yeah, It’s in their contract with the NCAA to be top 25 on every NCAA preseason poll.

And you passed up Turner Gill for a man that hit on just over twenty-percent of his games at Iowa State. What to tell you? You’re in a bad spot.
