| Manchester United - Valencia goals Posted: 05 Aug 2009 05:22 PM PDT  Manchester United played their final pre season game before they kick off their season against Chelsea in the community shield. The Red Devils took on Spanish giants Valencia at Old Trafford. The match saw the first appearance for Michael Owen at Old Trafford but it was Rooney who gave the English champions the lead in the second half. Owen had several glorious chances but failed to convert any of them. Cleverly then doubled the lead and it was new boy Antonio Valencia who provided the assists on both the occasions. | Posted: 05 Aug 2009 11:47 AM PDT  Liverpool played their final preseason game prior to the Season kick off against Lyn Oslo and it was the returning striker Andriy Voronin who put the Reds ahead just at the stroke of halftime.
