Alabama: The Guerreros of the NCAA.

Those of you whom watched Wrestling in the early part of this decade, you found yourself enthralled and amused by the antics of the Guerreros. These were men who lied, cheated, and stole the hearts of fans everywhere. This is why I am delighted by this turn of events from the Mobile Press Register.

For you see? The Crimson Tide are “serial offenders” of the NCAA. They have an “abysmal track record.” They call ”charging” in pickup basketball. They “hit you with the ACW-ACWA Tuscaloosa TV Title” when you’re not looking.

I mean, how else do you explain Jay Barker’s college career? Scrappy game management? Please.

Now before you decide that you’re going to fire off an angry missive? I make mention of this because it is an aspect of your athletic program that you need to promote. Everybody loves the black hat. Everybody loves an outlaw.

That brings your program mystique. Or in Miami terms, swagga. You get your program at a point where everybody wants to wear the Crimson. Be proud of your heelry. Do it up Guerrero style.
