| Will Muschamp: New Gators Head Coach. Posted: 11 Dec 2010 05:37 PM PST
In an Alex Rodriguez-esque move to attempt to overshadow one of College Football’s shining moments, Tim Tebow has officially reported that the next head coach of the Florida Gators is former Texas Defensive Coordinator Will Muschamp. Muschamp, who was supposed to be the head coach in waiting for the Longhorns, will prove to be a nice bit of fuel for the rivalry. As mentioned before, Muschamp was a graduate of the University of Georgia. But the fun fact? After Lane Kiffin left for USC, Will Muschamp essentially had the Tennesee job. He spurned them. So what does that mean? The honeymoon? And there will be a honeymoon…could end quickly. Especially if he has the same sort of trouble several Head Coachs have had against their alma mater. The other interesting question, beyond who’s going to run the Gator offense, is wither Dan Mullen? Are we going to see him remain in Starkville? Will he go laterally to Miami? What about Michigan? And are we seriously going to see Gus Malzahn coach Vanderbilt next year? There’s suddenly a real chance of that happening. I’m scared. And so cold. |
