Video: Newcastle’s Shola Ameobi scores a volley (Nigeria vs Italy) Posted: 19 Nov 2013 01:48 AM PST Shola Ameobi might be coming to international football late in his career, but he’s taking to it like a duck to water. For instance, look at this flicked near-post volley he scored for Nigeria in their friendly against Italy last night. Ameobi had earlier bagged an assist for Nigeria’s first goal in the 2-2 draw. |

Video: Liverpool’s Daniel Sturridge scores in England training Posted: 18 Nov 2013 08:52 AM PST Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge will be fit to face Germany tomorrow, according to England boss Roy Hodgson. That presumably means he will also be fit for this weekend’s Merseyside derby, too. All of which means that Reds fans can enjoy the sight of him finding the net in today’s training session before he sparked all […] |
Posted: 18 Nov 2013 08:33 AM PST It look like today’s England training session was a pretty demoralising one for Fraser Forster. The Celtic keeper took part in a one-on-one session with Southampton’s Rickie Lambert and, predominantly, Chelsea’s Frank Lampard. It doesn’t look like Frank was in the mood to give Forster too many chances. |
